Willow Tit Survey Volunteer (Willow Tit Surveying - Bolton or Chat Moss area)
Join us for an exciting citizen science opportunity with the Wet Willow Wildlife Project and help make a real difference for our feathered friends! This project focuses on enhancing habitat connectivity for wet willow species across a landscape scale. A key target of the project is the Willow Tit, a stunning bird that has tragically experienced a 94% decline in population since the 1970s. This is your chance to help us monitor and protect this red-listed species! In partnership with The Conservation Volunteers and the Greater Manchester Ecology Unit, we’re seeking passionate volunteers to survey Willow Tits in the beautiful Bolton and the enchanting Chat Moss area. As a Survey Volunteer, you’ll not only learn fascinating facts about Willow Tits but also play a crucial role in gathering valuable population data in nature. No prior experience is necessary—just a love for birdwatching and basic computer literacy. Sign up today to join us in this important mission to conserve the wonderful Willow Tit!
