Practical Conservation Volunteer (Wet Willow Wildlife Project - Nov Practical Days on New Moss Wood & Whitehead Hall Meadow (West Manchester))
After a tremendous start with the practical conservation task days for the Wet Willow Wildlife Project, we have new opportunities to get involved at New Moss Wood in Cadishead, Salford (M44 5JT) on the 11th and 12th and Whitehead Hall Meadow (M29 7JE) on the 17th, 18th, 25th and 26th.
We'll be getting stuck in with woodland management tasks including scrub clearance, dead hedging and creating new nesting opportunities for Willow tits.
All tools, equipment and training will be provided. All you will need is appropriate warm outdoor clothing suitable for all weathers, sturdy boots or wellies and a packed lunch to keep you fuelled for the day! Please note there are no public toilets on either site.
