Livestock Checking Volunteer (Bickershaw Country Park)

We are looking for volunteers to join our team of livestock checkers and check the cattle at Bickershaw Country Park on Thursdays or Saturdays.

Training will be given in how to behave around livestock and what signs to be aware of to ensure that the animals are grazing in a safe environment.

The cattle will be onsite from mid August until the end of October. Each checker visits once a week to check their health and welfare and this takes no more than an hour.

It's a great opportunity to spend time outdoors enjoying nature whilst checking the animals, making sure the fences are intact and keeping an eye out for any other reportable issues.
