Livestock Checking Volunteer (Lightshaw Meadows)

We are looking for volunteers to join our team of livestock checkers and check the cattle at Lightshaw Meadows on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays between April and August.

Each checker visits once a week to check the health and welfare of the cattle and this takes no more than an hour. Training will be given in how to behave around livestock and what signs to be aware of to ensure that the animals are grazing in a safe environment.

It's a great opportunity to spend time outdoors enjoying nature whilst checking the animals, making sure the fences are intact and keeping an eye out for any other reportable issues.
