Practical Conservation Volunteer (Wigan Flashes)

We are looking for volunteers to join our weekly practical groups to help us carry out hands-on habitat management and site maintenance tasks.

There's a work party on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and the 3rd Saturday of the month from 10.00am until 4.00pm.

No previous experience is needed just a reasonable level of physical fitness and an eagerness to get stuck in whatever the weather!

We provide the tools, training and personal protective equipment for the tasks and just ask that you wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the weather and bring a packed lunch.

It’s not all about the work though, practical conservation volunteering is a great way to spend a day, working outside surrounded by nature and a dedicated group of like-minded people, learning new skills along the way.
