Nature and Wellbeing Community Engagement Volunteer (The Bay Project - Morecambe area)

Opportunity image

The Bay is a nature and wellbeing programme, offering people living around Morecambe Bay the opportunity to get outdoors, connect with nature and take part in a range of nature and wellbeing activities.

The programme was set up in 2021 to tackle the feelings of isolation and loneliness in Morecambe Bay after the global pandemic. Created by partner organisations; The Wildlife Trust for Lancashire, Manchester and North Merseyside, The Eden Project, Cumbria Wildlife Trust and Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust.

As a Community Engagement Volunteer you will be integral to the project’s work of finding ways to bring people and communities together around the fantastic natural environment of Morecambe Bay. Working alongside a small team of staff and volunteers, you could find your place in planning, promoting or helping to deliver activities such as citizen science backed wildlife surveys, nature walks, photography or beach cleans.... anything that brings people together and encourages them to slow down, connect with each other and the incredible natural world of Morecambe Bay.
